Lovely property, looks amazing from the outside. Feels homely when you walk inside, very clean and tidy. Absolutely love the character of the building. Room was very clean and tidy, modern with everything needed even a little mini fridge great for cold water. Could do with a fan in the bedroom, was a very warm weekend we stayed and sun shines in the bedroom all day. Talking about that we had stunning panoramic views from the bedroom, stunning views at 6am. Breakfast was very good. Honesty bar perfect, we enjoyed playing pool in the evening having a little drink and played a bit of light music. It was like we were the only people there. We don’t have a military connection as such but fully appreciated the lengths gone to by this family to honour all things military and all the things they do for their charity to support veterans and serving military. We can’t wait to come and stay here again, will be a firm favourite for us until we finally get the move to Lowestoft that we are wanting.

Very good location. Just a short walk from the seafront with gardens and seating areas outside the property and across the road. Lift access to the upper floors Separate lounge areas decorated with memorabilia from Army, Navy and RAF.. (RAF room has a very good library). Hotel supports both serving military members and veterans, and has a regular program of events, talks etc. Very good atmosphere. Friendly staff and good choice from breakfast menu. Vegetarian options available. Happy to recommend this guest house/ hotel. Local shops and takeaways 2 minutes away (turn left, then left again). Town centre shops about 15-20minute walk.

Wow.. unbelievable price for a night we will never forget.. It’s like a military waxworks with a pulse : Owners are so friendly and welcoming and devoted to Veterans and running a charity for them.. My father is 84 and can barely walk, they offered a mobility scooter, has a lift and wheelchair lifts everywhere but we loved trying on all the military costumes in the snooker room. If you love war memorabilia, need disability access everywhere or just popping in to look at the museum grade artefacts - then you’ll be happy (We gave a donation for letting us try uniforms on). Thank you for a wonderful time..

Liked everything. The hosts and staff were great. Breakfast first class. Guest house was clean and tidy throughout.the bedroom was spot on, cannot fault beds or room. Kettle, tea coffee and hot chocolate in room.We were in room 4, great sea view. Hosts made us feel at home straight away. Cannot do enough for you. All the memorabilia in the guest house was great to see. Claremont pier across the road with 2 bars arcade fish and chip shop. Ice cream stalls. Just 15 minute walk and you are at the harbour and town centre shops.we will definitely go back to kitcheners. First class.

Very warm welcome from the staff. The hotel usually hosts ex forces personnel, but lets out room to everyone when bookings are low. There was plenty of services memorabilia on show in the hotel, which I found interesting. I paid a little extra for a room with a view and it was worth it, with a panoramic view of the seafront. There was also a nice selection of tea/coffee etc in my room. Beds were comfortable, plenty of space in my room and the Wifi was good. 15 minute walk to the Railway station and High Street. Breakfast was plentiful and served with a smile.
